ERBB2 and neoplasm: Neoadjuvant therapy, which is administered before surgery, allows for the assessment of treatment efficacy by monitoring tumour response, and it has become a standard of care for patients with early-stage HER2-positive breast cancer.4,5 Over the years, there has been increasing interest in optimising the use of neoadjuvant HER2-targeted therapies by exploring new agents and combining them with trastuzumab to further enhance patient outcomes.
