Thus, to identify the possible function of K-BCs in VKH disease, we evaluated the expression of cytokines related to Th1 cell differentiation (IL-12, IFN-γ, and IL-18) [40, 41], Th17 cell differentiation (IL-6, IL-21, IL-23, and IL-1β) [42, 43], and general cell proliferation and differentiation (IL-2) [44] by K-BCs from VKH patients. Here, IL18 is linked to Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease.
