In the preclinical trials, evinacumab reduces LDL-C levels by a mean of more than 40% in homozygous FH patients and more than 50% at the maximum dose in refractory hypercholesterolemia patients, most of which were already on statins, ezetimibe, PCSK9 inhibitors, and/or lomitapide [103–105]. This evidence concerns the gene PCSK9 and familial hyperaldosteronism.
