In a phase II clinical trial, 98 patients with newly diagnosed homologous recombinant-proficient advanced ovarian cancer will receive either AST-201 [a DNA vaccine encoding insulin-like growth factor binding protein-2 (IGFBP-2)] combined with recombinant human GM-CSF (rhGM-CSF) and chemotherapy (paclitaxel and carboplatin) or placebo combined with GM-CSF and chemotherapy. Here, CSF2 is linked to ovarian cancer.
