CD146 plays an important role in many malignancies, e.g., breast and lung cancers, both in tumor progression and metastasis, which is closely associated with chemotherapy resistance (Tripathi et al., 2017; Liang et al., 2017; Zeng et al., 2020); its high expression is positively correlated with tumor drug resistance in multiple tumors.
