Synaptic markers in cerebrospinal fluid or plasma, such as neurofilament light chain and synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2 A, have become accepted biomarkers of AD, and are expected to improve early diagnostic efficiency and help predict the outcomes of the disease in AD patients (Stevenson‐Hoare et al. 2023; Wang, Zhang, et al. 2024). This evidence concerns the gene SV2A and Alzheimer disease.
