RBM14 and breast cancer: To validate the cellular effects of RBM14 overexpression in human cell lines, we selected two lung adenocarcinoma (NCI-H838; NCI-H1650) and two breast cancer (ZR-75-1; HCC70) cell lines that either exhibit high copy number and lower-than-expected mRNA/protein expression levels (“compensated”) or remain euploid at the RBM14 locus while expressing average levels of gene transcript and protein (Fig. 5d and Supplementary Fig S3a).
