In patients with melanoma, endogenous secretion of CXCL9 and CXCL10 positively correlates with improved prognosis and overall response by induction of CD8+ T-cell recruitment to the tumor site and correlates with improved response to anti–PD-1 and anti–CTLA-4 blockade in vitro (Bedognetti et al, 2013; Chheda et al, 2016; Harlin et al, 2009; Ji et al, 2012; Peng et al, 2012).
