INS and Insulin resistance: This finding could be elucidated from apharmacokinetic standpoint, as aspirin esterase activity diminishes in olderindividuals, particularly those with heightened inflammatory conditions [16, 47].Given that most participants in this study were administered a relatively lowaspirin dose (no more than 100 mg per day), the presence of AR in youngerpatients could potentially be linked to a heightened rate of aspirin hydrolysis.Intriguingly, despite insulin levels and HOMA-IR being considered reliableindicators of insulin resistance, they did not show an association with AR in ouranalysis.
