EMP2 and liver cancer: The use of both the integrin inhibitor ATN-161 and the autophagy inhibitor Baf.A1 significantly inhibited the increased invasion ability of HepG2 cells caused by overexpression of EMP2, further validating that the EMP2-promoted invasion process is doubly regulated by integrins and autophagy, highlighting the complex interplay between these molecular mechanisms in liver cancer progression.
