Another study reported the potential of serum-derived EV p75NTR as a diagnostic biomarker to distinguish patients with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP, n = 36) from patients with Charcot–Marie-Tooth type 1a (CMT1a, n = 39) with 92.1% sensitivity and 95.0% specificity, showing the possibility of EV p75NTR as a biomarker. Here, NGFR is linked to chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy.
