Most participants were prescribed donepezil/rivastigmine (acetylcholinesterase inhibitor; 81%) and memantine (N-methyl-d-aspartate receptor antagonist; 57%) as treatment for AD symptoms, for which all had been stable for at least a month aside from one who started memantine the same week of receiving 2 mA HD-tDCS.
