While no one among the 105 sampled HCWs exhibited IgM-class antibodies, two nursing students who reported having changed bed sheets for index cases had IgG-class antibodies against NiV; even though neither student reported any unprotected exposure to bodily fluids of inpatients with documented NiV infection, their use of PPE (particularly masks and gloves) was not seemingly accurate. Here, CD40LG is linked to infection.
