Roy et al. recently published a report that looked at a cohort of 22 non-tumoral samples and 159 GBM tumor specimens and found that ABCB1, ABCG2, and ABCC1 were significantly more expressed in GBM samples, with increased ABCC1 correlating with a significantly shorter progression-free survival [72]. The gene discussed is ABCC1; the disease is glioblastoma.
