In a Japanese phase 3, pivotal, open-label trial, patients with T2DM were prescribed with Imeglimin 1000 mg twice daily, orally, for 52 weeks as monotherapy or combination therapy (with one of the following: -α-glucosidase inhibitor, biguanide, dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor, glinide, glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist, sodium–glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitor, sulphonylurea, or thiazolidinedione. Here, GLP1R is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
