CRP and type 2 diabetes mellitus: Strong positive correlations, such as TNF-α with nausea (r = 0.68) and diarrhea (r = 0.63), and CRP with nausea (r = 0.65) and diarrhea (r = 0.60), suggest that persistent systemic inflammation is a critical factor in the development of these gastrointestinal side effects, particularly in patients with HIV and type II diabetes.
