Nutritional status (total protein, albumin, and vitamin B12), liver function (aspartate transferase (AST), alanine transaminase (ALT), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (gGTP), total bilirubin (T.Bil), and direct bilirubin (D.Bil)), inflammation (c-reactive protein (CRP)), dehydration (blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (Cre), sodium (Na), potassium (K), and chloride (Cl)), and anemia (hemoglobin (Hb), red blood cell count (RBC), and hematocrit (Hct)) did not differ significantly between patients with and without OD complications. This evidence concerns the gene GGTLC1 and anemia (phenotype).
