Another sub-analysis was performed, excluding patients with 25-OHD3 <20 ng/mL (n = 103, Supplementary Table S2), with statistically significant differences being found not only in SPPB (8.4 ± 2.3 in patients with normal PTH versus 7.4 ± 2.3 in patients with hyperparathyroidism; p = 0.031) but also in the Barthel index for BADL (94.7 ± 9.5 in patients with normal PTH versus 89.9 ± 10.8 in patients with hyperparathyroidism; p = 0.019). Here, PTH is linked to hyperparathyroidism.
