A sub-analysis was performed, excluding patients with an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) <45 mL/min/1.73 m2 (n = 144, Supplementary Table S1), with statistical significance being reduced to a trend as a result (SPPB in patients with normal PTH 8.1 ± 2.6 versus 7.3 ± 2.5 in patients with hyperparathyroidism; p = 0.056). This evidence concerns the gene PTH and hyperparathyroidism.
