Itepekimab, a monoclonal antibody that inhibits interleukin-33 (IL-33), was demonstrated to prevent asthma control loss and improve lung function in phase 2 clinical trials with moderate-to-severe asthma patients [4,5]; nevertheless, further research in phase 3 trials is necessary to confirm the efficacy and safety of itepekimab in a larger population of asthma patients [5]. Here, IL33 is linked to asthma.
