The present review article summarizes the role of coagulation factors in the pathophysiology of HCC, including P-selectin, thrombomodulin, d-dimer, prothrombin, von Willebrand factor, fibrinogen and fibrin, tissue factor, tissue plasminogen activator, plasminogen activator inhibitor-1, soluble urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor, and antithrombin, as explained in figures and tables. This evidence concerns the gene PLAT and hepatocellular carcinoma.
