In this vein, this study and others [25,42,43,45,46] suggest that the inflammasome is a promising biomarker of the inflammatory response in AD associated with a variety of cells since neurons [47], astrocytes [48], microglia [49], oligodendrocytes [50], and endothelial cells [51] express a variety of inflammasomes capable of releasing IL-1β.
