Curcumin (CUR), the most abundant dietary polyphenolic curcuminoids derived from turmeric (Curcuma longa), has achieved previously significant anti-cancer effects against human ovarian adenocarcinoma SKOV-3/CDDP cisplatin-resistant cells by inhibition the gene expression of the antioxidant enzymes (SOD1, SOD2, GPX1, CAT and HO1), transcription factor NFE2L2 and signaling pathway (PIK3CA/AKT1/MTOR). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and ovarian adenocarcinoma.
