On the other hand, carriers of at least one GSTO2*G variant allele had decreased odds of developing gastric atrophy (OR = 0.39, 95%CI = 0.16–0.94, p = 0.04) and active inflammation (OR = 0.11, 95%CI = 0.02–0.64, p = 0.013) than GSTO2*A reference carriers (Figure 1b).
