FOXM1 and cancer: While significantly upregulated in most cancer types, survival analysis does not indicate FOXM1 as an immediate discriminant of mortality, as highlighted in Figure 4A. In fact, while a general pan-cancer tendency as a negative prognostic marker can be observed, survival of patients with a higher-than-median expression of FOXM1 is significantly worse in four cancer types, specifically BRCA (p = 0.011), KIRC (p = 0.00023), KIRP (p = 0.0066), and LUAD (p = 0.0023).
