Overall, genetic abnormalities of DHHC8, DHHC14, DHHC14L, DHHC17, DHHC9, DHHC12, and DHHC15 have been implicated in Huntington’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, schizophrenia, and X-linked mental retardation [24,33,39,49,50]. The gene discussed is ZDHHC14; the disease is juvenile Huntington disease.
