LGALS3 and hydrops fetalis: Interestingly, increased levels of NT-proBNP (OR: 1.05 and CI: 1.01–1.07; p = 0.002), Gal-3 (OR: 1.4 and CI: 1.19–1.60; p < 0.001), and NGAL (OR: 3.01 and CI: 1.82–4.97; p < 0.001), as well as decreased concentrations of acetylcarnitine and propionylcarnitine (OR: 0.31 and CI: 1.11–0.82, p = 0.019, and OR: 0.78 and CI: 0.66–0.91, p = 0.002, respectively) were also associated to HF or death (Figure 2).
