Conclusions: A combination of upregulated obesity-related CVRPs (ANGPT1/IL/1Ra/XCL1) and downregulated cardioprotective proteins (sRAGE/BMP6/Mn-SOD/GDF2) in overweight/obese PCOS women may contribute to the increased risk for CVD. This evidence concerns the gene IL1RN and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
