In a recent paper by Elsayed et al. [104], serum and endometrium showed higher values of TNF-α, IL-8, and serum CRP levels in buffalo suffering subclinical endometritis than in healthy buffalo; furthermore, a positive correlation among the percentage of endometrial PMNs and the serum and endometrial TNF-α, IL-8, and serum CRP has been found. The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is endometritis.
