CSF3 and infection: Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor 3 (CSF3) is one of the major hematopoietic cytokines [62], which can take an active role in immune responses such as cell proliferation and survival, differentiation of the neutrophil precursor cells in the bone marrow, leukocyte recruitment in inflammatory sites, lymphocytes and antibodies production during inflammations, and tissue lesions and infections, especially those bacterial in origin [63,64,65].
