Of the 74 subjects investigated for Porphyromonas gingivalis, a total of 55 subjects (74.32%) were positive (n = 41, 55.40% periodontitis and 14, 18.92% MIPP) [24,27,28] and 19 negative (25.67%) (n = 11, 14.87% periodontitis; n = 8, 10.81% MIPP) [24,27,28].
