Additional variables that were tested in the univariate and multivariate analyses included race, baseline ferritin, baseline C-reactive protein (CRP), baseline lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), high tumor burden (≥60% bone marrow plasma cells), extramedullary disease, high-risk cytogenetics, complex cytogenetics (defined as ≥3 chromosomal abnormalities), prior BCMA therapy received, and penta-refractory disease (triple-class refractory disease was not tested as all patients were triple-class refractory). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is neoplasm.
