MAP1LC3B and Alzheimer disease: Here, we report that this compound directly activated its target protein AMPK by binding at ASP148, ASP157 and ASP166 of the AMPK α subunit and LYS148, ASP156, LYS309 and ASP316 of the AMPK γ subunit to produce neuroprotective effects against AD, and the AMPK/ULK1/LC3B and AMPK/mTOR signaling pathways were involved in the anti-AD effect of GENI.
