RASA1 and colorectal carcinoma: In the research conducted by Sun et al. [17], miRNA-335-5p has induced epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) by downregulating the expression of RAS p21 protein activator 1 (RASA1), causing epithelial cells to lose their original polarity and tight junctions and gaining the migratory and invasive capabilities of mesenchymal cells, thereby promoting the invasion and metastasis of colorectal cancer (CRC) cells.
