Together with the fact that the SLC15A4-TASL complex is druggable50 and that full-body SLC15A4 and TASL-deficient animals do not display any overt phenotype at steady state, these findings strongly support the SLC15A4-TASL complex as a therapeutic target for SLE and related diseases. This evidence concerns the gene SLC15A4 and systemic lupus erythematosus.
