Association of CTLA4 gene polymorphisms have been found in Japanese patients with rheumatoid arthritis [7], South-Moroccan patients with type 1 diabetes (T1D) [8], Han-Chinese [9] and Asian [10] patients with breast cancer, as well as Iranian patients with gastric and colorectal cancers [11]. This evidence concerns the gene CTLA4 and type 1 diabetes mellitus.
