Similarly, as in enhancer hijacked EVI1 overexpressing AMLs, HEPTAD binding sites, which mark predicted active enhancers, are present near the RUNX1‐EVI1 and ETV6‐EVI1 fusion genes in t(3;21)(q26.2;q22) and in t(3;12)(q26.2;p13.2) AML cells. Here, RUNX1 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
