MYC and colorectal carcinoma: In addition to these findings, considering reports that AhR, β-Catenin, and c-Myc are involved in promoting metastasis [25,32,55], and that β-Catenin and c-Myc are involved in poor prognosis [20,67], CRC in patients with CKD, in whom the Akt/β-Catenin/c-Myc and AhR/c-Myc pathways are assumed to be activated by indoxyl sulfate, is expected to show high metastatic potential and poor prognosis.
