The present study focused on c-Myc and β-Catenin, which are assumed to be downstream of indoxyl sulfate-induced AhR and Akt activation, and aimed to analyze how these molecules affect the proliferation of CRC cells and enhance EGF sensitivity through the upregulation of EGFR protein levels in HCT-116 CRC cells. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and colorectal carcinoma.
