ACE and chronic kidney disease: A nonsteroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist is recommended for patients with CKD and persistent albuminuria despite the maximally tolerated dose of ACE inhibitors/ARBs and SGLT-2 inhibitors if eGFR ≥25 mL/min/1.732 and serum [K+] <5.0 mmol/L to reduce the risk of chronic kidney disease progression and cardiovascular events.
