On this note, CgA has been shown in patients with Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with low diagnostic discrimination between cirrhosis and cancer [7], correlated with the degree of enterochromaffin-like cell proliferation in atrophic body gastritis [8] and has been reviewed for inflammatory bowel diseases [9], e.g., suggesting CgA may be implicated in inflammatory signaling in that context [10]. This evidence concerns the gene CGA and Cirrhosis.
