Yoodee et al. and Heng et al. recently indicated the possibility that (i) the growth of ureteric stones may be affected by heat shock protein 90 (HSP90) on the cell membrane, and that (ii) the adhesion of ureteric stones may promote HSP90 expression and induce cytotoxicity in the proximal tubular epithelium cells [11,12]. Here, HSP90AB1 is linked to ureterolithiasis.
