CD14 and Cirrhosis: As shown in Fig. S2, we found significant (p <0.05), though weak, correlations in the cohorts of patients with cirrhosis, both with and without CSPH, between markers of inflammation (IL-6) and markers of macrophage activation (CD163, r = 0.31; CD14, r = 0.26), intestinal barrier integrity (FABP, r = 0.28), and HVPG (r = 0.21).
