The main subgroup of NK cells in the normal parenchyma of lung tissue is CD56dimCD16+ cells, whereas in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), TANK and TINK cells can be transformed into the decidual CD56brightCD16-phenotype, and these cells can produce high levels of angiogenic factors, such as VEGF, PLGF and IL-8 [68,69].
