Patients with detectable HDV RNA and the development of the combined endpoint were significantly older (49.7 (41.2–55‐1) years vs. (37.7 (29.1–44.6) years, p < 0.001)), showed a higher frequency of liver cirrhosis (89.5% vs. 33.3%, p < 0.001) and lower levels of quantitative anti‐HBc along with a higher ratio of HBcrAg/anti‐HBc. Here, KRT88P is linked to cirrhosis of liver.
