For the study of procoagulant conditions, thrombophilia testing was performed in 6 patients, including tests for lupus anticoagulant, protein C activation resistance, functional protein C and protein S, functional antithrombin, factor VIII, anti-cardiolipin antibodies (IgG and IgM), anti-β2 glycoprotein 1 antibodies (IgG and IgM), and molecular genetic studies for Factor V Leiden and Prothrombin.
