In agreement with previous studies, the experimental findings of this study demonstrate that obesity significantly increases the expression levels of TLR4 and MyD88 proteins as well as the phosphorylation levels of IκBα and NF-κB p65, along with pro-inflammatory cytokine levels in the intestinal tissues of DIO mice. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
