Our analyses revealed that BLA promoted apoptosis and inhibited glioma cell proliferation, while increasing the expression of apoptosis-related proteins, including cleaved caspase-9, cleaved caspase-3, and Bax, and inhibiting the expression of the anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2 to suppress the proliferation of glioma cells and induce a G2/M cell cycle arrest. Here, BCL2 is linked to central nervous system cancer.
