A review by Paola Borgia et al. of a prospective study involving 20 patients treated with Selumetinib for NF1 yielded results highly consistent with our study (Borgia et al., 2024), namely that skin side effects are common, including xerosis, paronychia, and acneiform rash (Palmeiro et al., 2023). This evidence concerns the gene NF1 and paronychia.
