Figures 10D, E from the Transwell assays confirmed that the knockdown of PLOD2 significantly hindered the migration and invasion of cervical cancer cells. The wound healing experiment showed that, in comparison to the negative control group, PLOD2 knockdown in SiHa and HeLa cell lines resulted in significantly bigger wound widths after 48 hours (Figures 11A, B). Cell proliferation assays demonstrated a marked decrease in the number of cells in PLOD2 knockdown SiHa and HeLa lines when compared to the negative control group (P < 0.001) (Figures 11C, D). Here, PLOD2 is linked to cervical cancer.
