While a recent meta-analysis (7 studies, N=455) demonstrated no effect of green tea intake on PSA level (172), another meta-analysis demonstrated a significantly reduced pooled risk for prostate cancer development (risk-ratio = 0.41; 95% CI: 0.19- 0.86) in patients with high-grade prostate intraepithelial neoplasia (HGPIN) or atypical small acinar proliferation (ASAP) (173). Here, KLK3 is linked to prostate carcinoma.
