A significant increase in IL-10 (a potent anti-inflammatory interleukin) was detected in the groups that were protected against hepatic damage (GH, VEGFB, VEGFA, and GH + anti-VEGFR1 groups), whereas hepatic IL-10 levels in the BD + GH + anti-VEGFR1+anti-VEGFR2 group were similar to those in the BD group (Figure 2B).
