Table 1 shows the baseline characteristics of participants and the differences between the two groups. Compared with non-sarcopenia women, women with sarcopenia were significantly older, had significantly lower level of BMI, RSMI, HS, GS, ALB, UA, FPG, ALT, and higher level of HDL-C (all p < 0.05). Meanwhile, there were no differences in other biochemical parameters including Cr, TC, TG, LDL-C and AST between the two groups (all p > 0.05). Compared with women without sarcopenia, both TyG index and TyG-BMI index were significantly decreased in women with sarcopenia (all p < 0.05). The gene discussed is ALB; the disease is sarcopenia.
